Duncan has spent the last 20 years figuring out how to make technology work for educators. (It’s much easier to do now than it was back then!).
Joining the Learning Technology Team at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in 2016 has allowed him to bring that experience to the University at an exciting time, and he hopes to help influence staff and students to consider how technology can improve their teaching and learning experiences. Duncan is responsible for overseeing the Digital Academic Developers, and is also the key contact within the department for colleagues within the professional services departments.
Currently studying towards his MSc in Blended and Online Education, Duncan has a keen interest in how the use of content capture (both lecture capture and personal capture) can influence the development of curricula and enhance the student academic journey. Other academic interests include the development of flexible pedagogies (and the tools that make them possible) and the role of induction & orientation in the student experience. He is also interested in the development of flexible learning spaces and their impact.
