Learning Technology Support Officer

Luke joined Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in 2011, initially starting in a number of roles on the University’s TempBank (an experience that he likens to the TV series Quantum Leap), Luke worked in Human Resources and Organisational Development before landing in the Faculty of Education, where he was a Senior Programme Administrator for the University’s Teach First programme for two and half years.

Luke joined the Learning Technology Team in May 2014 as a Learning Technology Support Officer (LTSO), supporting and complementing the Learning Technologists by providing technical systems administration and second-line specialist support for staff. During his time in the role, Luke has supported the upgrading of the Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and continues to support the ongoing development and management of the University VLE.

Luke’s current academic interests include online test/survey systems and online video platforms.

Luke has previously worked as a manager in the retail industry. He is an Ordinary Member with the Association for Learning Technology (ALT), and holds a MA and BA (Hons) in Film Studies.
