Simon joined Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in September 2001 as a Faculty Learning Technologist where he has advised and supported various academic departments in the pedagogy, design and evaluation of technology enhanced learning.  He also teaches on the University’s PG Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP).  He has previously led on the embedding of electronic plagiarism prevention and detection and currently leads a cross-institutional working group to develop the University’s Electronic Assignment Management (EAM) capability.  Simon has contributed to various fora on these themes.

Simon’s current academic interests include: EAM, particularly the pedagogy of digital feedback; blended learning and flipped classroom.

Simon has previously worked in software engineering.  He is an Ordinary Member with the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) and is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh.
